Directly from the Tuscan Specialities Showcase, and from the De.C.O. register of the Municipality of Lucca, here is the Aquilea soup in the traditional summer festival on August.
On the hills of Lucca, among the vineyards and plains of the village of Aquilea, the tradition of the Aquilea soup festival is repeated. Soup (only vegetables from local farms in the Moriano area), grilled meats, olive oil and wine from the Aquilea farms, and cakes with creamy vegetable pecks and chocolate are the classic menu of the manifstazone.
Every evening, from 7 p.m. onwards, you can enjoy the famous Aquilea soup prepared only with vegetables from the fields and wild herbs of the area
. This is followed by grilled specialities, porchetta with steamed or raw vegetables, pies with vegetable peckers cream and chocolate Wine and oil strictly from Aquilea farms.
To end the evening on a high note, every evening a play area for children and after dinner dancing at the Festival ‘Ballando sotto le Stelle di Aquilea’
Performances and live concerts by highly talented DJs and musicians will animate and enrich the long-awaited Sagra in the context of the extraordinary beauty of the landscape that distinguishes this corner of the Lucchesia just a few kilometres from the provincial capital.
